When you think of jobs that pay six figures, you think doctor, lawyer or something else or anything with the word "chief," "director," "engineer" or "petroleum" in it.
But there are some jobs that pay six figures that you might not expect or imagine. People you may come across on a daily basis or some who you may not, but never suspect they make that much!

"Generally, high-paid jobs require one or more of the following: extensive formal education, high level of responsibility or performance, unique skills or talent, and extensive on the job experience," said Al Lee, director of quantitative analysis at PayScale.com. And most involve the employee earning "substantial income and profits for the employer," Lee added.

The average salary is about $40,000 in America, according to the Social Security Administration, and just about 5 % of the American population makes $100,000 or more.

Here are six-figure jobs that you might not expect would pay that much:

Call Center Analyst
You don't think of call center jobs as high-paying jobs; in fact, you apt to think of them as low-paying jobs that are often shipped overseas. But there are a few positions, including call-center analysts, who oversee quality and assurance and train the representatives as well as the director of the call center who can make six figures. One listing on Indeed.com for a six-figure job as a QA Call Center Analyst in Chantilly, Va., need that the person be bilingual -- in English and Spanish. Call Center Directors, meanwhile, have a median salary of $121,000, according to salary.com.

Afghan Language Specialists

Elevator Mechanic

One listing for a "Vertical Transportation Director" in Arlington, Va., requires 10 years of experience as an elevator mechanic and five to 10 years of management experience in the elevator business.

Flight Training Coordinator
You might probably expect a pilot to make six figures, but perhaps not a flight training coordinator. Actually flight training coordinators have an important job -- they research and develop new techniques related to flight training programs for an organization, including classroom lessons and simulator sessions. It could be for a commercial purpose or private carrier or training school or an aerospace company. The median salary for that flight training coordinators is $118,000 but can go above $200,000 for the top 10 percent, according to Salary.com.

Nuclear Power Reactor Operator
The earthquake and subsequent nuclear disaster in Japan established just how dangerous nuclear power reactor operators are -- and how valuable they are. As a result, it's a high-paying job. The median salary is $86,000 but the top 10 percent make an average of $128,000, according to PayScale.com.

Court Reporter
The median salary of court reporters is $57,200 but those who are more experienced and skilled and can type 200+ words a minute make an average of $105,000, according to PayScale.com. And, court reporters are probably to be one of the jobs in demand over the next decade -- both inside and outside the courtroom -- with the number of court reporters expected to jump 18 percent, according to the Labor Department.

In fact, the median salary for pharmacists in the U.S. is $113,000, according to Salary.com. It's not just filling out instructions, it's offering advice on dosage and side effects and interacting with doctors. You never think of personal trainers, who get paid hourly, as six-figure contenders, but it all depends on where they actually work and who they're coaching. The mean salary of a personal trainer is $54,200, according to PayScale, but the top 10 percent can earn $100,000 or more than that. The top performers tend to be those who are basically certified personal trainers, who have a college education and many years of experience. The highest-paying cities for personal-trainer jobs are: Ann Arbor, Mich., where rates can reach up to approx $70 an hour, followed by New York, Baltimore, Tampa and Boston.

Shahid Khan Afridi Has Been Removed As ODI Team Captain By PCB

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has removed Shahid Khan Afridi as one-day International captain for the upcoming series against Ireland.

Chairman of the board Ijaz Butt told in a media conference in Islamabad that senior batsman Misbah-ul-Haq would lead the team in the two one-day matches against Ireland held on May 28 and 30.

"Afridi has been retained as a player in the one-day squad but the captaincy has gone to Misbah," Ijaz Butt said without explaining the reason behind for this decision.

Recently Pakistan won the ODI series against West Indies under the captaincy of Afridi by 3-2 win in the Caribbean.

He has been leading the T20 and ODI sides since early 2010.

Ijaz Butt plans to remove Afirdi as captain before World Cup and want Misbah to be leading captain but due to the support of all Pakistanis he failed to do that but at last he did it now.

>The world's ever largest model airport has opened at Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany.

Miniatur Wunderland - German for miniature wonderland - is a model railway attraction in Hamburg, Germany and the biggest of its kind in the world. As of January 2011, the railway consists of 12,000 metres (39,370 ft) of track in H0 scale, divided into seven sections: Harz, the fictitious city of Knuffingen, the Alps and Austria, Hamburg, America, Scandinavia, and Switzerland. Of the 6,400 square metres (68,889 sq ft) of floorspace, the model takes 1,150 m2 (12,378 sq ft).

By 2020, the exhibit is estimated to have reached its final construction phase, including at least a total of ten sections in a model area of over 2,300 m2 (24,757 sq ft).

The next section covering an airport is basically due to open in the second week of May 2011. The exhibit includes 890 trains made up of over 11,000 carriages, 300,000 lights, 215,000 trees, and 200,000 human figurines.

The creators are arranging to work on models of Italy and France after the airport section is completed. Possible future additions include Africa, England, or a futuristic landscape.

In Karachi 3 killed 27 Injured In Grenade Attack On Gambling Club Near Lyari Area

KARACHI:Three people were killed and twenty seven were injured in a grenade attack near the Lyari area of Karachi on Friday.

According to Express 24/7 correspondent Ahmed Jung, a gambling club Al Fateh Hotel in Chakiwara was the target of the attack. The club is normally filled with at least a hundred people, he added.

The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, after ambulances managed to reach the site, despite the blockade on Mauripur road due to protest.

The electricity supply in the area was cut after the attack, due to which rescue services also encountered problems in carrying out their work.

This is the second attack on a gambling den in less than a month. At least 19 people had been killed in an explosion at a gambling den in Karachi’s gang-war infested Lyari area on April 21. The remote-controlled blast, in which two kilogrammes of explosive material was used, also left 35 people injured in the locality known as Jinnahabad Lyari Quarters.

Permanently banning Facebook In Pakistan: Court seeks record of previous appeals

The Lahore High Court on Thursday sought till May 10 record of previous appeals filed against the social networking website, Facebook, for blasphemous content.

Justice Azmat Saeed passed the order on a petition seeking a permanent ban on Facebook in Pakistan for holding a contest called the 2nd Annual Draw Muhammad Day.

The petition was filed by Mohammad and Ahmad through Advocate Mohammad Azhar Siddique.

Siddique requested the court to direct the Civil Lines SHO to register a criminal case under Section 295-C against the perpetrators for organising the competition again.

The petitioner also sought directions for the federal government to stop the display of blasphemous material against the Holy Prophet (pbuh) on Facebook and other similar websites in Pakistan.

He also requested the court to direct the government to establish a permanent authority to monitor objectionable online activities.

He said that Facebook and similar websites should be permanently blocked for placing caricatures of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and other prophets. The petitioner said that the contest, scheduled for May 20, was the evidence of international mischief against Islam.

After hearing the petitioner’s arguments, the court observed that disrespect to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) will not be allowed at any cost.

The court then adjourned the hearing and sought record of earlier petitions.

The petitioner has named the federal government, the ministry of communication, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, and the Punjab government as respondents.

Facebook had earlier generated much controversy when a single cartoonist Molly Norris had announced a contest to sketch caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in May 2010. The sponsors had later apologised and cancelled the contest.

The authorities had informed the court that a protest was recorded through the Organisation of Islamic Conference with the United Nations and America.

US President Obama's statement On Osama Bin Laden's death

WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama said on Sunday that the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people has been killed in Pakistan by U.S.-led forces.

Following is the text of Obama's statement to America:
Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children.

It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history. The images of 9/11 are seared into our national memory. Hijacked planes cutting through a cloudless September sky.

The Twin Towers collapsing to the ground. Black smoke billowing up from the Pentagon. The wreckage of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania where the actions of heroic citizens saved even more heartbreak and destruction.

And yet we know that the worst images are those that were unseen to the world. The empty seat at the dinner table.

Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father. Parents who would never know the feeling of their child's embrace.

Nearly 3,000 citizens taken from us, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts.

On September 11th, 2001, in our time of grief, the American people came together. We offered our neighbors a hand, and we offered the wounded our blood. We reaffirmed our ties to each other and our love of community and country.

On that day, no matter where we came from, what god we prayed to or what race or ethnicity we were, we were united as one American family. We were also united in our resolve, to protect our nation and to -- to bring those who committed this vicious attack to justice.

We quickly learned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by al Qaeda, an organization headed by Osama bin Laden, which had openly declared war on the United States and was committed to killing innocents in our country and around the globe. And so we went to war against al Qaeda, to protect our citizens, our friends, and our allies.

Over the last 10 years, thanks to the tireless and heroic work of our military and our counterterrorism professionals, we've made great strides in that effort. We've disrupted terrorist attacks and strengthened our homeland defense.

In Afghanistan, we removed the Taliban government which had given bin Laden and al Qaeda safe haven and support. And around the globe, we worked with our friends and allies to capture or kill scores of al Qaeda terrorists including several who were a part of the 9/11 plot.

Yet, Osama bin Laden avoided capture and escaped across the Afghan border into Pakistan. Meanwhile, al Qaeda continued to operate from along that border and operate through its affiliates across the world.

And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda. Even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle and defeat his network.

Then last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain. And it took many months to run this thread to ground.

I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside Pakistan.

And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice.

Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abad Abad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties.

After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.

For over two decades, bin Laden has been al Qaeda's leader and symbol and has continued to plot attacks against our country and our friends and allies.

The death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al Qaeda.

And his death does not mark the end of our effort. There's no doubt that al Qaeda will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must and we will remain vigilant at home and abroad.

As we do, we must also reaffirm that the United States is not and never will be at war with Islam. I've made clear just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11 that our war is not against Islam. Bin laden was not a Muslim leader. He was a mass murderer of Muslims. Indeed, al Qaeda slaughtered scores of Muslims in many countries including our own.

So his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity. Over the years, I've repeatedly made clear that we would take action within Pakistan if we knew where bin Laden was. That is what we've done.

But it's important to note that our counterterrorism cooperation with Pakistan helped lead us to bin Laden and the compound where he was hiding. Indeed, bin Laden had declared war against Pakistan as well and ordered attacks against the Pakistani people.

Tonight I called President Zardari, and my team has also spoken with their Pakistani counterparts. They agree that this is a good and historic day for both of our nations. And going forward, it is essential that Pakistan continue to join us in the fight against al Qaeda and its affiliates.

The American people did not choose this fight. It came to our shores and started with the senseless slaughter of our citizens. After nearly 10 years of service, struggle and sacrifice, we know well the costs of war.

These efforts weigh on me every time I, as commander in chief, have to sign a letter to a family that has lost a loved one or look into the eyes of a service member who's been gravely wounded.

So Americans understand the costs of war. Yet as a country, we will never tolerate our security being threatened, nor stand idly by when our people have been killed. We will be relentless in defense of our citizens and our friends and allies. We will be true to the values that make us who we are.

And on nights like this one, we can say to those families who have lost loved ones to al Qaeda's terror, justice has been done.

Tonight we give thanks to the countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals who've worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome. The American people do not see their work nor know their names, but tonight they feel the satisfaction of their work and the result of their pursuit of justice.

We give thanks for the men who carried out this operation, for they exemplify the professionalism, patriotism and unparalleled courage of those who serve our country. And they are part of a generation that has borne the heaviest share of the burden since that September day.

Finally, let me say to the families who lost loved ones on 9/11, that we have never forgotten your loss, nor wavered in our commitment to see that we do whatever it takes to prevent another attack on our shores.

And tonight, let us think back to the sense of unity that prevailed on 9/11. I know that it has, at times, frayed. Yet today's achievement is a testament to the greatness of our country and the determination of the American people.

The cause of securing our country is not complete, but tonight we are once again reminded that America can do whatever we set our mind to. That is the story of our history. Whether it's the pursuit of prosperity for our people or the struggle for equality for all our citizens, our commitment to stand up for our values abroad, and our sacrifices to make the world a safer place.

Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power, but because of who we are, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Wikileak reveal Guantanamo files detainee details

WASHINGTON a fresh trove of classified military files showed that the United States released dozens of "high-risk" Guantanamo prisoners and detained over 150 innocent men for years.

The 779 documents, part of a enormous cache of secret memos leaked to whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks last year, were made available to a select group of US and European media outlets, including The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph, El Pais, Le Monde, Der Spiegel and La Repubblica.

Thousands of pages of files were said to disclose that most of the 172 prisoners who stay at the US naval base in southeastern Cuba -- 130 of them -- have been rated as posing a "high-risk' threat to the United States and it is associates as if they are freed without being rehabilitated or supervised as needed.

Even more of the George W. Bush-era "war on terror" was expected about a third of the 600-some men who have already been transferred to third countries -- were also recognized "high-risk" before being released or handed to other governments.

In a wearisome shock for the United States and its associates as they seek back to anti-government forces in Libya who are fighting to expel longtime strongman Moamer Kadhafi, the documents showed one of the rebels' supposed trainers has closer ties to Al-Qaeda than previously thought.

Abu Sufian bin Qumu was engaged in aggressive extremist activities for two decades, previously training at two Al-Qaeda camps, fighting with the Taliban against the Soviet Union and the Northern Alliance and serving as a Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's driver in Sudan, according to National Public Radio.

He had spent a six-year period at Guantanamo and the United States agreed to hand him over to Libyan authorities in 2007 followed by the request of Kadhafi, NPR added. Libyan higher authorities freed him last summer.

The Times said the files, which detail the background of each of the 779 people who have passed through the prison facility since 2002, revealed little about harsh investigating strategies used at Guantanamo, including sleep deprivation and simulated drowning, that sparked widespread condemnation around the world.

But a number of prisoners were said to have made up false claims of torture.

On the whole, US military analysts considered only 220 of the people ever in custody at Guantanamo to be dangerous extremists, The Daily Telegraph said, while another 380 people were considered to be low-ranking foot soldiers who traveled to Afghanistan or were part of the Taliban.

At least another 150 people were innocent Afghans or Pakistanis, including drivers, farmers and chefs, who had been curved up as part of anxious intelligence gathering in war zones and were then in custody for years due to mistaken identity or simply for being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
